They are recognized in various cultures as symbols of renewal and beauty, while their feathers represent self-expression and confidence. In addition, Peacocks are known to accentuate and spread their feathers to assert dominance and establish social status, a feature especially emphasized in the Art Deco era, where the exotic and luxurious reigned supreme. It is all of these traits that attracted founder Dorinda Armstrong to the bird as the driving force behind Peacock Emporium’s name, aesthetic, and mission.
